ABOUT

It all began at the age of ten. I remember being alone in my grandma’s living-room, watching a travel documentary on TV. Espanoles Por el Mundo featuring Spanish travelers adventuring abroad. As family members wandered in and out of the living-room, I was transfixed on the TV. Something ignited in me that day.
Many years later, having living in North American, and traveled in Europe, Asia, the Middle East, I fell in love with someone on South Korea, and had my heart broken. The heartache turned into sleepless nights, chest pains, and I feared approaching anxiety attacks.
This event was a life changer. I realized that if I didn’t learn how to manage my emotional state, my personal happiness will always be managed by factors outside my control. And scarily, mental anguish was resulting in physical symptoms.
Since I lived in Korea at that time, my sister in England and friend in Canada tried desperately to steer me away from depression using Skype chat. I decided to do an intervention on myself. I started watching Tony Robbins seminars on YouTube where Tony dissected guest problems and got to the root of their despair.
I began to realize that my projected self-confidence was fake. I criticized others because deep down, I didn’t love myself. My love of travel and my passion for Greek and Roman history were genuine, but also an escape from myself. Distractions, so I wouldn’t have to deal with me.
I had to take responsibility for myself, my life journey, and stop leaving what ‘happens’ to me to chance. I couldn’t let the next ten years float by, and spend my one shot at life in helpless mediocrity. So I started learning more about human behavior. I started consuming YouTube videos by Stefan James (Project Life Mastery), Evan Carmichael, Tom Bilyeu, Jake Ducey, and several more. I was curious about ‘mindset’, self-hypnosis, affirmations, self-love, and even entrepreneurship.
Next, I began changing my habits, particularly my morning routine. I wrote and published two books in 2018 to learn how to be a good partner in an intimate relationship, and how to increase my energy and mindset through what I eat. I began documenting my struggles on my website, and even begun a YouTube channel to share the concepts I was learning.
Over a year later, I now meditate daily, use a morning ritual to manage my mindset. I use social media to reach people that are looking for something to give their lives direction. I continue to love travel, but now, it’s become travel with a purpose. I want to observe social norms from different cultures, and how people deal with challenges. I’ve begun seeking ways to help friends pursue what makes them feel alive. Share my own passion for exploring this crazy complicated mass of humanity, the precious locations, and meaningful spaces from history. And meanwhile, learning to really value myself.
This is my journey.
